Why does it matter that a stud is the judge’s favorite? (will link to a blog post about showing cats)
Mr. Bennett is the bee’s knees. Any cat who can perform as he did for the 2023 show season is sturdy and docile.
Let me pull out a thesaurus for all the ways we could describe this pleasant ragdoll cat.
Mr. Bennett himself is the recipient of the following awards in TICA:
- International Winner: 25th Best Long Hair Cat in 2023
- Internationally, 2nd Best Ragdoll Cat in 2023
- Internationally, Best Seal Bicolor Ragdoll Cat in 2023
- Northwest Region’s Best Ragdoll Cat 2023
- Northwest Region’s 3rd Best All-Breed Cat 2023
- Northwest Region’s Best Seal Bicolor Ragdoll Cat 2023
- Northwest Region’s 2nd Best Ragdoll Kitten 2023
The ribbons and plaques and certificates were not easily achieved.
Mr. Bennett was born at a time when his show career would simply NOT have enough time to merit such accolades, according to everyone who heard what we were doing. In the cat fancy exhibition world, a cat must be 8 months old to participate in the Adult Cat Championship exhibition. This means, Benny could not even compete until January 2023. The campaign season ends April 30 of every year. His competition enjoyed an 8 month head start–more time to develop and more rings to participate in.
Such a challenge is what Mr. Bennett and I are made for! We knew we had a fantastic fellow. He was (and still is) PERFECT.
We are so grateful to Mable Roberts, Mr. Bennett’s breeder. Her guidance and patience are a tribute to her character and her breeding standards. She is a rare gem.
